Dorothy Jewell Linville

Dorothy Jewell Linville, 87, of Burlington Junction, MO, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017, at the Nodaway Nursing Home, Maryville.

She was born in Skidmore, MO, on September 19, 1929, to Lee Roy Murphy and Sylvia Mae (Long) Murphy. They preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her husband Stanley, on August 6, 2000, and her sisters, Edith Irene Sportsman, Ann (Harris) Wyrick, Lois Jean Linville, and Letha Mae Reed, her grandson Lee Joseph Linville, and great grandson Tucker Monroe Conard.

She was married to Stanley Freeman Linville, on August 19, 1947, at Nodaway County Courthouse in Maryville, MO. She lived all her life in the area, and was a farm wife and raised her children.

Her memberships included the LLL Club, Quitman, MO, and the Burlington Junction United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Irene (Kenneth) Caton, Forrest City, MO, Robert (Kay) Linville, Clearmont, MO, Louise (Darryl) Stubblefield, Springfield, MO, Ed (JoAnn) Linville, Maryville, MO, Les (DeeDee) Linville, Skidmore, MO, Russell (Donna) Linville, Burlington Junction, MO, Rick Linville, and friend, Cecillia Early, Springfield, MO, and Steve (Lisa) Linville, Burlington Junction, MO, ; 25 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; her siblings, James Murphy, Tina, MO, and Eva (Kenneth) Nickles, AZ; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore, MO.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, Monday, January 23, 2017, at the funeral home.
