Dennis Wayne Brown, 58, of Skidmore, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at his home in Skidmore.

Dennis was born on May 31, 1958, to Charles Wayne and Ena Marilyn (Madden) Brown. He was preceded in death by his father in 1998; and his daughter, Jamie D. Brown-Carlson, in 2014.

He was a 1976 graduate of Nodaway-Holt High School, in Graham, MO. He recently retired as a farmer and truck driver in the Skidmore area.

Dennis enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed all country life. He loved his family and friends, and his grandchildren were very special to him.

He is survived by his daughter, Jody Brown, Skidmore, 7 grandchildren, Halea VanGundy Maryville, Madison, Delani and Rylan Murphy, Skidmore, MO, and Cameron, Thomas and Gavin Carlson, St. Joseph, MO; his mother, Marilyn Brown, Maryville; his siblings, Joe (Kaye) Brown, Skidmore, Jerry (Tracy) Brown, Skidmore, Rosalie (Marlin) Everett, Barnard, MO, and Connie (Paul) Swartz, Graham, MO; son in law, Michael Carlson, St. Joseph; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville. The burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore, MO.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Friday, January 20, 2017, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville.

Memorials are suggested to the Tri-C Nutrition Center, Maitland, MO, or the Nodaway County Senior Center, Maryville, MO.
