Mark Alan Armentrout, 56, of Elmo, MO, passed away as a result of a four-wheeler accident on Sunday, November 13, 2016, near Elmo.
Mark was born on October 29, 1960, at the Offutt Air Force Base, Omaha, NE. His parents were Lewis and Cleo “Honey” Armentrout.
He graduated from the Mound City High School, in 1979. Mark lived most of his life in this area. Five years later on January 28, 1984, Mark was united in marriage to Katherine (Kathy) Jane Kretchmer. They were married for 2 short years until they welcomed their first child, Zachery, into their lives.
Mark was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather. It had been a struggle for him since the passing of his son Zach back in April. He had a close bond with all of his siblings. He always had a way to make people laugh. He would use his Donald Duck voice, singing Hootie and the Blowfish songs to his grandkids. He liked to be outside.
He had worked for 14 years at Energizer, Maryville, until the plant closed. He was currently with Farmer’s Supply in Burlington Junction, MO. Mark was of the Christian faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Zachery, his brother, Wally Armentrout, his mother and father in law; Don and Dorthy Kretchmer, and his daughter in law, Taylor Green-Sillers.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Kathy, Elmo, MO; children, Christina (Bryan) Marrison, Skidmore, MO, and Chad (Jordon) Sillers, Fairfax, MO; grandchildren, Daniel Myranda, Carsyn and Jetta Green-Sillers, and Cheyann and Ryan Marrison; great grandchild, Damon Ryan ”Bug” Lambert; siblings, Robert (Debbie) Armentrout, Springfield, NE, and Judy Colborn, North Platte, NE; 3 nephews, William Hunting II, Jeff and Jeremy Armentrout.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, November 17, 2016, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. Cremation will follow the service. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Home Cemetery, Tarkio, MO.
Friends may call after 8:00 AM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Dream Factory of St. Joseph, MO, for chronically ill children.
