Marlin David Abbott

Marlin David Abbott, 85, of Burlington Junction, MO, passed from this life on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at his home near Burlington Junction.

Marlin was born on February 9, 1931, in Elmo, MO. His parents were Miles W. and Nellie Lea (Stafford) Abbott, and preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his wife, Brigitte in 2009, his daughter, Donna K. Burnham, step daughter, Ruth Feikema, his sister, Elsie Mae Stewart, brother, Miles Stafford Abbott, and sisters Ella Katherine Guenther, and Joyce N. Reynolds.

Marlin worked as a carpenter for many years in the area.

On August 24, 1963, he was united in marriage to Brigitte R. (Lipps) Abbott, in Flint, MI, she passed away in 2009.

He is survived by his children, David L. Abbott, Yankton, SD; Steven D. Abbott, Clarkston, MI; Cheryl D. Sherman, Sears, MI; step children, Michael H. Ramsey, Harrison, MI; Pamela Ramsey, Burlington Junction, MO; and Nancy Spears, Deltona, FL; granddaughter, Anitta Ecker, Elmo, MO; 20 grandchildren, 31, and I on the way, great grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. Burial will follow in the High Prairie Cemetery, Elmo, MO.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the SSM Hospice of Northwest Missouri.
