Clayton M. Taylor, 27, of Maryville, MO, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at SSM Hospital in Maryville.

Clayton was born in Maryville, MO, on March 24, 1989, and was a lifelong resident of the area. His parents are Michael Rodney and Melinda Lou (Scarbrough) Taylor, and reside in Maryville.

Clayton graduated from Maryville High School in 2007, and attended NWMSU, also of Maryville. He was a member of the Laura Street Baptist Church, and the Breaking Chains Christian Music Ministry. He was in the MHS band, and a member of the drum line. He had many area musical connections and had taught guitar. He loved to hunt and fish with his father.

He loved to cook and had been employed over the years at several Maryville restaurants.

Clayton was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Lucille Taylor, Sr., and Kenneth and Lois Scarbrough; and a sister in infancy.

Besides his parents, Clayton is survived by his daughter, Payton Bodle, Ravenwood, MO; his sister, Serenity Jones and her companion Gary Staub, Sun Valley, CA; 2 nephews, Joseph Taylor, and Micheal Cain; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Graveside services and burial will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Mound City, MO. Pastor Paul McKim will be the minister.

Services are under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. No formal visitation is planned.
