C.M. (Pistol) Asher

C.M. (Pistol) Asher, 82, Sheridan, MO, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, MO.

Pistol was born on May 18, 1934, in Oklahoma City, OK, his parents were Charles and Gladys (McKinley) Asher. They preceded him in death. He was also prededed by his wife, Virgina Ann (Jennifer) Asher in November 2, 2009, his son, Kelly Lee Asher, 4 brothers, J.D., Hillyard, Kenny, and Bill Asher; and his sister, Patty Jo Asher.

Pistol lived most all his life in Worth County, and was baptized at the Sheridan Christian Church. He was a dozer operator for himself and later for other businesses in the area.

On April 18, 1959, Pistol was united in marriage to Virginia Ann (Jennifer) Smith.

Survivors include his children, Kevin Asher, Sheridan, Troy (Jennifer) Asher, Maryville, Kim Asher, Sheridan, Karla (Kyle) Nelson, Stewartsville, Toni (David) Thomas, Sheridan; step son, Bobby (Pat) Smith, Bedford, IA; 18 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pistol's body has been cremated under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.

Joint memorial graveside service for Pistol and Jennifer Asher will be held at 10:30 AM, on Friday, July 1, 2016, at the Barnes Cemetery, Worth, MO.
