Kathleen M. (Kathy) Sears

Kathleen M. (Kathy) Sears, 60, of Maryville, MO, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at her home in Maryville.

She was born on July 22, 1955, her parents were Ralph Garrett and Pauline (Granny) (Brown) Dragoo. She lived most all her life in the Maryville area.

Kathy had worked as an aid at St. Francis Hospital, and then spent 26 years at Energizer.

She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and volunteered at her church, Laura Street Baptist. She was a team captain for volleyball at Maryville Parks and Recreation. She enjoyed participating in the Mozingo haunted campground with Wes and Nancy Lantz. She was an excellent quilter and the best pie maker ever.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Stanley, Robert, and Ronald Dragoo; and sisters, Ramona Ball, and Judy Belding.

On June 9, 2001, Kathy was united in marriage to Rob Sears, at the Laura Street Baptist Church, Maryville. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include her children, Kelly (Russell Eich) Grebe, Nederland, CO, Ryan Phillippe, of the home, step daughter, Lindsey (Leal) Valdez, Stafford, VA; 5 grandchildren, Meko and Ember Eich, and Taylor, Addy, and Gabriel Valdez; her siblings, Sharon Wilmes, Cadiz KY, Greg Dragoo, Warner-Robbins, GA, Bill Dragoo, Skidmore, MO, and Teddy Bennett, Denver, CO; many nieces and nephews that she loved and cared for very much; father in law, Bill Sears; and her beloved pets, Shadow and Bernie.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 28, 2016, at the Laura Street Baptist Church, Maryville. The burial will follow in the Nodaway Memorial Gardens, also of Maryville. The minister will be Pastor Paul McKim. Burial will be in the Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville, MO.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Friday, May 27, 2016, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO
