Mr. Jerry Lee Hill, 75, of St. Joseph, MO, and formerly of Tarkio, MO, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Mosaic Life Care, in St. Joseph.

Jerry was born on September 8, 1940, in Maryville, MO, and grew up in Burlington Junction, MO. His parents were William A. and Wilma (Houston) Hill

He had lived in Tarkio, MO, until moving to St. Joseph in 1991.

Jerry was the former owner/operator of Field's Clothing in Tarkio for more than 30 years. He was a former member and President in 1976/77 of the Tarkio Rotary Club. He was inducted into the Clarinda A's Baseball hall of fame.

He loved playing golf and all sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team and Kansas Jayhawks basketball. He was a christian.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hill, of the home; sons Jeff, David and Rob Hill; 8 grandchildren, Sean, Taylor, Kyle, Carly, Jake, Drew, Lauren, and Emily.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at the First Christian Church, Burlington Junction, MO, the burial will follow in the Ohio Cemetery, also of Burlington Junction.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.

Memorials can be directed to the American Heart Association in Jerry's name.

Services are under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.
