Barbara Lynn (Wake) New, 60, of Ravenwood, MO, passed from this life on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at SSM St. Francis Hospital, in Maryville, MO.

Barbara was born on February 5, 1955, in Mt. Ayr, IA, her parents were Phillip A. and Hazel Eileen (Mitchell) Wake. They preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Lafayette High School in St. Joseph, MO. She had been a resident of the Parnell and Ravenwood, MO, areas since 1973, and a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Parnell, MO..

On September 1, 1973, at the Sheridan Missouri Christian Church, Barbara was united in marriage to Kenneth L. New, he survives of the home.

For 19 years she was a clerk for SSM Health St. Francis Hospital in Maryville.

Barbara loved to do crafts. She was a very organized and strong person and was the glue for the family. She liked to attend her grandson's swim meets.

She is survived by her husband, Kenny New, Ravenwood, MO; 3 children, Phillip L. New, Ravenwood, Stephanie New, and grandson Donato Chesnut, and Stephanie’s fiancé, Levi Streebin and daughter Layla Streebin, Maryville, and William A. New, and William's fiancé, Jodi Nellesen and daughter Frankie Nellesen, Savannah, MO; 3 siblings, Phyllis Wiley, Maryville, Joyce (Don) Piveral, Pickering, MO, and Robert (Lana) Wake, Worth, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 2, 2015,at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Parnell, MO; the burial will follow in the St. Joseph's Cemetery, Parnell, MO.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the SSM St. Francis Hospital, 2016 S. Main, Maryville, MO, 64468.
