Fern Coy

Helen Fern Coy, 89, of Maryville, Mo, passes from this life on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at the Golden Living Center, with her family at her side.

Born on October 7, 1925, in Gainesville, Mo, she was the daughter of Armand Armor and Lucy Jane (Gibson) Landers. She was also preceded by her husband Thomas A. Coy, and two brothers, Guy Landers and Tommy Landers.

Fern lived her adult life in the Maryville area and was a dedicated homemaker who loved to sew.

On February 4, 1946, Fern was united in marriage to Thomas A. Coy, in Kansas City, Ks. He passed away on March 4, 2006, after 60 years of marriage.

Fern is survived by her children, Gary F. Coy and wife Latkana of Nixa, MO, Thomas Glenn Coy of Maryville, Mo, and Janet L. Coy of Houston, TX; siblings Pauline Zugher of Kansas City, MO, Rex Landers of Gainesville, MO and Leona Morrison and husband Clay; grandchildren Lesa Geibler and husband John of Kimberly City, MO, Jason Coy of Barnhart, MO, Danny Coy of Marion, IN, Amanda Tralles and her husband Mike of House Springs, MO, Alan Coy and his wife Carolyn of Maryville, MO, and Bond Bourquein of Houston, TX, and five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO, with Rev. Paul McKim officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Maryville, MO.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm.
