Mary M. Brand

Mary M. Brand, 87, of Ravenwood, MO, passed from this life on Friday, August 7, 2015, at the Parkdale Manor Nursing Home, Maryville.

Mary was born on February 16, 1928, in Hopkins, to Lew and Lola (Gray) Coleman, she lived in Hopkins and graduated from the Hopkins High School in 1946.

On January 24, 1948, at the home of Rev. L.B. Day, in Maryville, Mary was united in marriage to Robert E. Brand. They moved to the Ravenwood area in the early 1960's where they continued farming and raised their children.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert on June 16, 1982, and 6 brothers, one in infancy, then Robert, Raymond, Sherman, Floyd, and Russ Coleman, and 2 sisters, Dorothy Kellogg, and Maxine Morrison.

Mary helped her husband on the farm, and later worked at Armstrong Restaurant, and Place's Dime Store, both of Maryville. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Hopkins.

Her survivors include 4 sons, Charles (Kathy) Brand, Ravenwood, John Brand, Maryville, Mike (Kathy) Brand, Ravenwood, and Eric Brand, Ravenwood; 3 grandchildren, Brandon (Natasha) Brand, Maryville, Robert Brand, Ravenwood, and Laura (Jeff) Constant, Kingsville, TX; 5 great grandchildren, Ashton and Lana Brand, and Blayne, Iliya and Thayer Constant; sister, Betty (Ron) Hardy, Belton, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 10, 2015, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The burial will follow in the Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins, MO. The minister will be Pastor Janis Roorda.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.
