Traci J. Major

Traci JoAnne (Treese) Major, 52, of Savannah, MO, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her family, after a long battle with breast cancer.

Traci was born on January 27, 1963, in Maryville, MO, to William D. and Garnette M. (Hawk) Treese.

Traci was a graduate of the Northeast Nodaway R-V, class of 1981. She graduated from Missouri Methodist Nursing School in 1984, as a registered nurse. She worked in nursing for 31 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Savannah, MO.

Traci married Randall Todd Major on June 30, 1995, in Savannah.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George B. and Margaret Hawk; maternal aunt, JoAnne Hawk; paternal grandparents, Bernard and Mary Treese, and mother in law, Florence Major.

She is survived by her husband, Randall Todd Major, of the home; children, Dr. Benjamin (Emmie) Reine, of Lee’s Summit, MO, Bryant (Kristina) Major, of Burlington Junction, MO, Elizabeth (Sean) (Reine) Johnson, of Lee’s Summit, and Brylee Major, of the home; grandson, Caysen Major; parents, Bill and Garnette Treese, of Maryville; siblings, Todd (Mary) Treese, of Des Moines, IA, Tassi (Pat) Bryant, of Ravenwood, Tonia (Tim) Auffert, of Topeka, KS. She is also survived by multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, Thursday, May 28, 2015, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 29, 2015, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Maryville, MO.
