Judith Kay Parshall

Judith Kay Parshall, 72, of Clearmont, MO, passed from this life on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at her home in Clearmont.

Judy was born in Baxter Springs, KS, on March 5, 1943, to Louis and Julia (Mitchell) Shanks. She graduated from Cherokee County Rural High School before moving to Kansas City, MO. She worked for Milgrams Food Store and an insurance business.

She met and married Gary M. Parshall on December 15, 1963, in Kansas City, MO. Together they moved to Clearmont, MO, where Judy worked many years before retiring from the U.S. Postal Service.

She will be remembered for her sense of humor; love of quilting, and taking care of her postal employees and customers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Rex, Richard, Lloyd, and Cloyd, and her sister, Joy.

She is survived by her husband, Gary, of the home, Clearmont; 2 sons, Shane, and wife Sheryl Parshall, and their children, Kylie, Zach, and Madison, Plattsmouth, NE, and Scott, and wife Kelly Parshall, Skidmore, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Parshall has been cremated. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville. Casual dress, farmer and ranch caps are welcome. The inurnment will be later in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Clearmont, MO.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the New Nodaway Humane Society, Maryville, MO, and can be left at the funeral home.
