Joseph P. Baker

Joseph P. Baker, 74, of Graham, MO, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at a nursing home in Mound City, MO.

Joe was born on November 20, 1940, in Lincoln County, MO, to Walter S. and Dora E. Trower, they preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his wife Shirley, and a step daughter, Debbie Casteel.

Joe lived in the area since the early 1980’s, and he spent his younger years in Vandalia, MO, area.

He was an over the road trucker, and later retired from St. Francis Hospital, Maryville, in the environmental services department. Joe was of the Christian faith.

He married his first wife, Pamela, and they later divorced. He then married Shirley Jean Baker, and she passed away in 2005.

Survivors include his step children, Rick (Christa) Baker, Abilene, KS, and Todd (Tina) Baker, Maryville, MO, Darla (Gary) Brown, Lyndon, KS; brother, Kinnaird (Twila) Baker, Kansas City, MO; sister, Nadine Rees, Vandalia, MO; several nieces, nephews, and step grand and great grandchildren.

Mr. Baker has been cremated under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. A memorial gathering will be held at 3:00 PM, on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at the Community Center, Graham, MO, refreshments will follow.

Inurnments will be at a later date at the Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville. MO.

Memorials are suggested to the family to help with final expenses.
