Joy Lea Hansen

Joy Lea Hansen, 49, of Hopkins, MO passed away on February 17, 2015 at the home of her mother in rural Hopkins. She passed surrounded by her family.

Joy was born August 29, 1965 in Ft. Riley, Kansas. She is the daughter of Drexel Leroy Griffey and Nancy (Jody) Griffey. She was preceeded in death by her father, both sets of grandparents, and Kirby Hansen her brother-in-law.

On July 2, 1983 she married Ed E. Hansen. They resided in Hopkins. Joy loved to bowl, she also collected stuffed animals.

She is survived by her husband Ed of the home, her mother Nancy (Jody) Griffey. Two sisters, Lora Ann (Mark) Rybolt, and Kathy Lynn (Kenneth) Gladman. She is also survived by her in-laws Lloyd and Donna Hansen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Joy Lea Hansen will be Friday, February 20, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Services will be held at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home , Maryville. No formal visitation is planned. The burial will be in the Hopkins Missouri Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials are directed to the family for Joy's final expenses.
