Martha N. Saxton-Gaukel

Martha Nadine Saxton-Gaukel, 80, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015, at the Golden Living Center, Maryville.

Martha was born on July 19, 1934. Her parents were Adiie B. and Thelma G. (Taylor) Schank, and preceded her in death. She married Homer Lee Saxton in 1952. He passed away on January 12, 1970. Martha married James E. Gaukel on June 20, 1980, and he passed away on September 14, 2008. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Kenneth, Orland, and Cordell Schank, and a great grandson, Liam Saxton.

She is survived by her children, Debbie (Larry) Heck, Maitland, MO, Dan (Cathy) Saxton, Bolckow, MO, Cindy (Phil) Morris, Oregon, MO, and a step son Scott (D'Ann) Gaukel, Wilcox, MO. Grandchildren and great grandchildren: Michelle (Chris Darnell) Heck, and Jaeleigh and Lindsey (Darrin) Clayton, and Makya and Kiersten, Dr. Marlie (Travis) Williams, and Wyatt and Taylor, Sheldon (Tauni) Saxton, and Tristen and Caden, Mike (Amanda) Saxton, and Carson and Keaton, Candy Morris, Kelly (Kent) McDonald, and Jaelyn and Aiden; brothers, Roderick (Eva) Schank, and Gil Schank; sisters, Carrie Schank, and Linda (Ron) Patterson; nephew, Russ (Wendi) Schank, Overland Park, KS.

A private family graveside service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015.

The burial will be in the Nodaway Memorial Garden, Maryville, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the SSM Hospice of NW Missouri, 2332 S. Main, Maryville, MO 64468.
