Mary Louise Reardon

Mary Louise Reardon, 92, Maryville died February 3, 2015 at home surrounded by her family.

Mary was born in St. Joseph, MO , February 1, 1923, to Theodore F. and Esther (Neidel) Palmer. They preceded her in death. She married David M. Reardon January 18, 1955. David passed away in 1984.

Mary was a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a degree in Education. She taught in Filmore, MO. She also worked at the J. C. Penny’s store in St. Joseph as well as Meyers Decorating,
Leroy’s Store of Colors and the Nodaway Packing Plant. Mary was also a master seamstress and quilt maker.

She was a 70 year member of Beta Sigma Phi. Mary was an Alumni of Northwest MO State. Mary was active at the Nodaway Senior Center and a member of the Red Hat Ladies. Her hobbies included sewing, playing cards, bingo, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Left to mourn her passing are her son Steven and wife Melinda Reardon of Liberty, MO. Two granddaughters Allison, and Bailey Reardon of Liberty, MO. Brothers, Marvin Palmer of Minneapolis, MN, Wendel (Irene) Palmer of Barnard, MO and Don (Marilyn) Palmer of Hannibal, MO. Sister, Jeri Patterson of Maryville. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and one great great nephew.

A Funeral Mass for Mary Louise Reardon will be held Saturday, February 7th, 2015 at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church at 11 AM. Visitation will be 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM at the church.

Inurnment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Maryville following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to St. Gregory’s Catholic Church or to Mosaic Life Care Hospice of St. Joseph, MO.
