Thelma Verleen Guthrie

Thelma Verleen Fishell Guthrie, 92, of Clearmont, MO, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014, at the Nodaway Nursing Home, Maryville, MO.

Thelma was born on January 5, 1922, in Maryville, MO, to Norman Michael and Nina May (Finnell) Fishell. A homemaker, Thelma resided in Clearmont for all of her life.

Her memberships included the Clearmont United Methodist Church, and the UMW of the church.

On May 11, 1941, in Maryville, MO, Thelma was united in marriage to Kenneth Duane Guthrie. He survives of the home.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Dianna Guthrie Miller, son in law, Samuel C. Miller, sisters, Ioma “Tootie” Fishell Burch, Edna Fishell Humphrey, and brothers, Lawrence Fishell, Lewis “Jake” Fishell.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Thursday, December 4, 2014, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Clearmont, MO.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at the funeral home.
