James D. Willliams, 72, of Savannah, MO, and formerly of Maryville, MO, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014, at the Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO.
James was born on April 15, 1942, in Maryville, MO, his parents were Basil Elwood and Charlene Jean (Ebrecht) Williams.
James was a 1960 graduate of Maryville High School. He worked for 40 years as an auto mechanic, and specialized in automatic transmissions. He retired from Walton Ford in Savannah, MO. After retiring, James played the guitar and harmonica and was a talented musician and could play many instruments.
On November 9, 1963, James was united in marriage to Sharon Fannon, in Bedison, MO. She survives of the home.
He is also survived by his brother, J.R. and wife, Shannon Williams, Douglas, WY, 2 brother in laws, Robert and wife, Jerri Fannon, Conception Junction, MO, Forrest Fannon, Stanberry, MO, sister in law, Marilyn Fannon, Syracuse, NE; numerous nieces, nephews and a whole host of music family members.
Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at the Swinford Cemetery, Conception Junction, MO. No formal visitation is planned.
Services are under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.
