Charles K. Thompson, 62, lifelong resident of Hopkins, MO, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at his home.
Charles was born in Hopkins on February 18, 1952, to Marion J. and Edna Ruth (Davison) Thompson. He was a class of 1970 graduate of North Nodaway R-VI High School, and worked as a bus driver for many years for the school district. He attended the First Christian Church of Hopkins, and was a former member of the Hopkins Lions Club and the Hopkins Volunteer Fire Department.
Charles was preceded in death by his father in 2000.
His survivors include his mother, Ruth Thompson, Hopkins; 2 sisters, Shirley (Mike) Warner, Altoona, IA, and Rinda Thompson, Hopkins; 2 brothers, Jim (Marsha) Thompson, Republic, MO, and Ron (Teresa) Thompson, Hopkins, MO; several nieces, nephews, and great and great-great nieces and nephews, and friends.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 PM, Saturday, October 18, 2014, at the Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins, MO. Rev. Erin Biggerstaff will be the minister, and assisted by Travis Dimmitt.
The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 PM, Friday, October 17, 2014, at the First Christian Church, Hopkins, MO.
The Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO, is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the North Nodaway R-VI School District.
