Jamie D. Brown-Carlson

Jamie Denise Brown-Carlson, 36, of St. Joseph, MO, and formerly of Skidmore, MO. Passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at her home in St. Joseph, MO, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born November 1, 1977, in St. Joseph, MO, her parents were Dennis W. Brown and Cheryl D. Huston.

Jamie was a graduate of Nodaway-Holt high school, class of 1996. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, spending time with her family and friends, reading, and living life to its fullest. Jamie was proceded in death by her grandparents, Lois and Ernest (Bo) Bowenkamp, and grandpa, Charles Wayne Brown.

Survivors include her spouse, Michael J. Carlson, of the home; 3 sons, Cameron, Thomas, and Gavin Carlson also of the home; daughter, Halea Vangundy, Maryville, MO; father, Dennis W. Brown, Skidmore, MO; mother Cheryl D. Huston, Skidmore, MO; sister Jody D. Clark, Skidmore, MO; 2 nieces and 1 nephew, Madison, Delani, and Rylan Murphy, Skidmore, MO; grandmother, Ena Marilyn Brown, Maryville, MO; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 17, 2014, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore, MO.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, Thursday, October 16, 2014, at the funeral home.
