Norville T. Harris, 77, of Maryville, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at the St. Francis Hospital, Maryville.

Norville was born on January 16, 1937 in Ravenwood, MO, to Orville J. and Nora L. (O’Day) Harris. He was preceded by 2 brothers, Donald Harris and Vincent Harris, his parents, and several brother in laws.

He was a lifelong resident of the area. He attended the First Christian Church, Pickering, MO, was a 4-H Leader, a member of the Pickering Lions Club, and the Missouri Dairyman’s Association.

Norville graduated from Horace Mann High School. He ran his own dairy farm and later raised beef cows. He retired after 17 years as the Supervisor at the Pellet Plant at NWMSU in 2009.

On August 30, 1959, Norville was united in marriage to Geneva E. Nelson, in Maryville, MO, she survives on the home.

Other survivors include his children, Terry (Cindy) Harris, Pickering, MO, Teresa (David) Blackford, Maryville, and Dennis (Patty) Harris, Maryville; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Gerald (Vivian) Harris, King City, MO, and a sister, Leareta Clements, Pickering, MO; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville. The burial will follow in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, also of Maryville.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Arthritis Foundation, or the American Heart Association.
