Lois W. Medsker, 95, of Graham, MO, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at the Nodaway Nursing Home, Maryville, Mo, with family members at her side.
Lois was born on January 28, 1919, in Graham, to Jacob and Eva (Stiverson) Eckles. She was a lifelong resident of the area.
On February 18, 1938, Lois married Homer S. Medsker in Manhattan, KS. He preceded her in death in November of 2000. She was also preceded by her parents; brother, Ralph Eckles; 2 sisters, Glola Blosser, and Olive Scott; and 2 grandsons, Kyle Stewart Medsker, and Ross Stewart Medsker.
Lois was a farm wife, and also kept busy with her different Graham memberships. She attended the Graham Union Church, was a member of the Good Luck Club, Graham Hobby Club, Graham Missouri Historical Society, Graham Community Betterment, Prairie Home Cemetery Board, and the Well Baby Clinic, where she was the Registrar.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, daughter, Beverly (Jon) Burmeister, Harlan, IA, 2 sons, Bill Medsker, Graham, MO, Max (Janet) Medsker, Graham, MO; 4 grandsons, Robie Medsker and Doug Medsker, both of Graham, MO; Seth (Kim) Burmeister, Omaha, NE, and Ryan Medsker, Graham, MO; 2 great grandsons, Tate and Tanner Burmeister, Omaha, NE; sister in law and husband, Gail and Ray Miller, Lansing, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The burial will follow in the Prairie Home Cemetery, Graham, MO.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
