Dolly Wyatt, of Braddyville, IA, passed away on July 13, 2014, at the age of 77.

Mildred DeLoris “Dolly” Rodriquez was born on July 31, 1936, in Maryville, MO, to David and Anna Rodriquez.

Dolly went to school and graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1954. She started her restaurant career at the age of ten, where she acquired her “second parents”, Dick and Lois Bowman.

She married Don Wyatt on March 31, 1955; and they had 3 children, Mike, Cindy, and Mark. They bought the “71” Café; but a year later Don passed away on October 6, 1969.

Dolly continued to work in the restaurant business; and when she moved to Braddyville, IA., where she eventually owned Dolly’s Country Kitchen, and Braddyville Saloon. Many friends enjoyed her donuts, tenderloins, strawberry pies, chocolate fudge, and just good eating and visiting.

Besides her husband Don, Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Avelina; her “second parents” Dick and Lois Bowman; Mark’s friend, Kathy Gearhart; and her “third son” Randy Butt.

Dolly is survived by her children, Mike and wife Pat Wyatt, of Maryville, MO; Cindy Adams, and Mark Wyatt, both of Braddyville, IA; grandchildren, Jesse Adams; Brianne Catalano and husband Gus, Tracy Adams Brown and husband Shad, and their children, Saige and Tadyn; Renee Adams McMahon and husband Tim and their son, Cian. 2 sister in laws, Darlene Jackson, and Wanda Gray, both of Maryville, MO; and brother in law, Gary Wyatt, St. Joseph, MO. She is also survived by many relatives and friends who will miss her greatly.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM, to 4:00 PM, Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO, then a short committal service will be at the Nodaway Memorial Gardens, also of Maryville.
