Loraine Freemyer

Thelma Loraine Freemyer, 84, of Ravenwood, MO, passed from this life on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the Pineview Manor Nursing Home, in Stanberry, MO.

Loraine was born on April 17, 1930, in Hopkins, MO, to Lester and Ruby (Riley) Roush. They preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her infant son, Loren; and her sister, Laberta (survived by Marvin) Palmer.

Loraine lived all her life in Northwest Missouri. She received her teacher certificate from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, and taught country school for 2 years. She was also a house wife and helped her husband on the farm.

Loraine loved her church and was a member and attended the Ravenwood Christian Church. She enjoyed teaching Vacation Bible School at the Skidmore Christian Church, and later at Ravenwood Christian Church.

On November 22, 1950, at the Christian Church Parsonage in Shambaugh, IA, Loraine was united in marriage to Russell A. Freemyer, he survives of the home in Ravenwood.

Her other survivors include her children, Russalene (Bill) Koch, Ravenwood, MO, Melleen (DeWayne) Baldwin, Stanberry, MO, and Jared (Kim) Freemyer, Ravenwood; her siblings, Harold (Marie) Roush, Louisville, KY, Vervil (Rosemary, deceased) Roush, Overland Park, KS, Charles (Barbara) Roush, Hopkins, MO, Lester, Jr., (Marjorie) Roush, Pickering, MO, Edwin (Donna) Roush, Maryville, Jerry (Fern) Roush, Hopkins, Leon (Carolyn) Roush, and Deon (Jodee) Roush, both of Maryville; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at the Ravenwood Christian Church, Ravenwood, MO. The burial will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore, MO.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, Monday, May 26, 2014, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.
