James Robert Jabusch (Jim), of Maryville, MO, passed away on May 22, 2014, at the Village Care Center, Maryville.
Jim was born on August 16, 1949, in Nodaway County, MO, to Robert Bruce Jabusch, and Mary Ella (Rowlett) Jabusch Veylupek. He went to grade school in Maryville and graduated from the Union Star Missouri high School.
Jim enlisted in the US Air Force in 1969. He served in Vietnam and Indo China where he was as a Morse Intercept Operator. He was honorably discharged in 1974.
Jim worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for 12 years as a switchman/brakeman in Fort Worth, TX. Later he attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville.
Jim always loved horses. He raised and been involved with them his whole life and always helped others with his vast knowledge. He had done barrel racing in high school, and participated in the pleasure class at many horse shows.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his 4 sisters, and 1 brother: Juanita Brand, Savannah, MO, Linda Blackford, Maryville, JoAnna (Don) Pankau, Pickering, MO, Janice (Denny) Meeks, Lander, WY, and Richard (Linda) Veylupek, Cody, WY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim was of the Christian faith and will be greatly missed.
He was cremated under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. A memorial to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
