Flame Partridge

Flame Watkins Partridge, Maryville, passed away on April 1, 2014, at NKC Hospice House, following a massive stroke a month ago. Born in Horton, KS, to Margy and Bob Watkins, she grew up in Falls City, NE, and graduated from NWMSU with multiple degrees. She was a lifelong teacher, specializing in learning disabled children, retiring from the St. Joseph School District in 2009. Flame married Rocky Partridge in 1982. She was preceded in death by her father in 1994 and her husband, Rocky, in 2010. She is survived by her cat, Sydney; mother, Margy Watkins, (Riverview, FL), brothers, Frank Watkins, (Riverview, FL), and Greg Watkins, (Cindy) (Springfield, MO); niece, Kelsey Watkins, (Springfield, MO), whom she was very proud; mother in law, Virginia Partridge; sister in law: Peggy Partridge, and Saun Willtrout; brother in law, Scott Partridge, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and students. Graveside services Saturday, April 5, 2014, at 2:00, at Miriam Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Flame’s friends, Pam Alford, and Lila Conley, for their loving assistance in her care during her final days. Family suggests donations to the Nodaway County Humane Society.
