Ralph Andrew Bliley, 90, of Clyde, MO, passed away on December 28, 2013, in Stanberry, MO.

Clyde was born on May 7, 1923, to Joseph and Theresa (Wiederholt) Bliley in Clyde, MO.

He received his schooling at St. Benedict's in Clyde and one semester at the Seminary in Conception. MO, before enlisting in the Army Air Force in Fort Leonard Wood. He later transferred to the motor division. He spent 3 years in the Army, serving in the South Pacific, and he also served at the Battle of the Bulge. He served in the 3rd Army under General George Patton. He was honorably discharged on December 31, 1945.

On November 30, 1948, he married Elizabeth (Betty) Schuetz, and they recently celebrated 67 years together. To them 7 children were born, Carolyn Bliley (Larry Diggs), Kathy (Earl) Schwebach, Jim (Deb) Bliley, George (Janet) Bliley, Barb Murphy (Bob Eisenbraun), Emily Schafer (Owen Reigler), and Jon Bliley, 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter; 2 sisters, Rosetta Redden, Patricia (W.D.) Driskell; 1 brother, Robert (Beverly) Bliley.

Preceded Ralph in death were his parents; his in laws; 4 sisters; and several other family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Tri-C American Legion Post 464, or the Hands of Hope Hospice.

There will be a Parrish and family Rosary at 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 2, 2014, at St. Columba Catholic Church, Conception Junction, MO.

The memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 3, 2014, at St. Columba.

The burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Conception, MO, with full military honors provided by the Tri-C American Legion Post 464, and the Missouri Military Honors Detail.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.
