Erma Jean Bowen Brown

Erma Jean Bowen Brown, 87, of Ravenwood, MO, passed away in her sleep early Monday morning, July 29, 2013, at the Parkdale Manor Nursing Home in Maryville, MO.

Erma Jean was born on May 14, 1926, in Isadora, MO. Her parents were Willie Clay and Annie Caroline (Ray) Walker. She lived all her life in northwest Missouri.

Erma Jean was united in marriage to Charles Galen Bowen, who passed away in 1985. Erma Jean later married John Brown on February 29, 1991, in Maryville, MO, who passed away in 1998. Erma Jean was also preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Jean Bowen in 1973, and 5 Brothers, and 7 Sisters.

Erma Jean was a homemaker all her life. She was a member and attended the Ravenwood Christian Church, Ravenwood, MO, and later she attended the Countryside Christian Church, Maryville, MO.

Erma Jean leaves behind her 4 sons, Charlie (Teresa) Bowen, Maryville, MO, Lee (Charlotte) Bowen, Barnard, MO, Ray (Shelley) Bowen, Trimble, MO, and Jerry Bowen, Venice, FL; 1 sister, Rosella Lewis, Ravenwood, MO; 9 grandchildren, Anthony (Danny) Bowen, April (Kevin) McMahon, Brandi (Noah) Bonde, Lonia Bowen, Chris (Karen) Bowen, Valerie (Donald) Steensen, Paul Bowen, Alex (Nicole) Bowen, and Alison (Nate) Gonner; 9 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 2, 2013, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. Vic Coston, of the Countryside Christian Church will be the minister. The burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ravenwood, MO.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM on Thursday, August 1, 2013, at the funeral home.
