Ronnie H. Newberry

December 29, 1943 — April 22, 2013

Ronnie Henry Newberry, 69, of Zephyrhills, FL, and formerly of Maryville, MO, passed away on April 18, 2013, at a hospice center in Zephyrhills.

Ronnie was born on December 19, 1943, in Maryville, MO. His parents were Carl and Esther (Overmaier) Newberry. He attended Maryville schools and was an accomplished Trumpet player. He had a No. 1 Rating for many years in State band competitions. He enjoyed playing at various church’s and organizations. He later graduated from NWMSU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music.

Ronnie and Marsha formerly lived in Barnard, MO, and operated the C&R Auto Sales, they later moved back to Maryville and took over his Father’s business, Newberry Repair Shop. They then owned and operated the Pumkin Center Auto. After their retirement, they lived at Big Lake, MO, before moving to Florida. Ronnie was an auto body repairman and car salesman for most all his life.

Ronnie enjoyed going to auto auctions, and to goose and deer hunt.

His parents preceded him in death, as well as his grandparents, Blanche Overmaier, Palmer J. Newberry, and Bessie (Hickam) Newberry.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Marsha K. (Hall) Newberry, of the home. They were married on March 14, 1969. One son, Lester W. Newberry, Highland Park, IL; two sisters, his twin, Connie Broz, Galena MO, and Janet Holt, Tulsa, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial graveside services and inurnment will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 15, 2013, at the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ravenwood, MO. The Rev. Cub Orcutt will be the minister. No formal visitation is planned.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ravenwood, MO.
