Arnold Parshall, 93, of Burlington Junction, MO, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Richmond, MO.
Arnold was born on December 29, 1919, in Kansas City, MO, to Everett and Fern (Graham) Parshall. In 1921, the family moved to Quitman, MO, and he graduated from the Quitman High School in 1937. On December 29, 1940, in Maryville, MO, Arnold was united in marriage to Leora Dawson. She preceded him in death in July of 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Melvin Parshall.
In 1950, he and Leora purchased their farm south of Burlington Junction, MO, he was a lifelong farmer in the area, and a member of the United Methodist Church, Burlington Junction, MO.
Left to mourn his passing are his children, Eugene (Kathy) Parshall, Weatherford, OK; Carolyn (J.R.) Griffin, Orrick, MO; Janice Sheridan, Inver Grove Heights, MN; and Cheryl Castillo, Clarinda, IA; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 6 step great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, March 8, 2013, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. Burial will be in Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville, MO.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.
