Estelle G. Newbury

Estelle Jenevieve Newbury, 98, of Maryville, formerly of Hopkins, MO, passed from this life on November 22, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital, Maryville.

She was born to William A. and Mary M. Robey October 23, 1914 in Benton County, North Dakota. In 1932 she married Wayne W. Newbury and together they raised four children. Estelle was a farm wife, worked at the Hopkins School cafeteria and an Ombudsman caring for the elderly. She was an active member of the Hopkins Baptist Church serving in many capacities.

Estelle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wayne, her sister Marjorie, her brother Kenneth and one son, Robert Newbury.

She is survived by children, Ed(Cindy)Newbury, Maryville, Jim (Blenda) Newbury, Bethalto, IL, Connie (Loyd) Waybill, Willow Springs, MO, and daughter-in-law Jeanne Newbury, Edwardsville,IL; grandchildren Lisa Newbury, Shawn Newbury, Jody Spencer, Julie Hubbard, Greg Ludwick, Sara Emery and Jennifer Staples. She has 11 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, November 26, 2012, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The burial will be in the Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins, MO. Pastor Paul McKim will be the minister for the service.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
