Marilyn Ann Ripley Johnson

July 10, 1933 — September 20, 2012

Marilyn Ann Ripley Johnson 79, of Maitland, MO, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at the St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, MO, with her family at her side.

Marilyn was born on July 10, 1933, near Graham, MO, to Ralph and Viola (Brooke) Ripley. She attended the former Miller grade school and graduated from the Graham Missouri High School in 1951. She was a resident of this area most all her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles A. Johnson, brother, Ray Ripley, and a nephew, Randy Ray Ripley.

She was a member and attended the Graham United Methodist Church. Other memberships included the Charlie Pride Fan Club, ASPCA, the Maryville Eagles Lodge, the Graham Alumni Association, and a former member of the Graham Street Fair Committee.

Marilyn had worked many years as an operator, and later a supervisor for the United Telephone Company in Maryville. She had also worked at the Turn-A-Corner convenience store, Fillmore, MO. She retired at age 70.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, son, Robin, and wife Kim (Chesnut) Bennett, Skidmore, MO; daughters, Tammy, and husband Norb Wilmes, Maitland, MO, and Kimberly Ann Wood, Maitland, MO; 5 grandchildren, Linda (Wood), and husband Ryan Russell, Jason Wood, Morgan Wilmes, Crystal Poppa, Michael Poppa, Jr., and Hailey Poppa; 5 great grandchildren, 1 niece and 6 great nieces and nephews, and other cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, September 24, 2012, at the Graham United Methodist Church, Graham, MO, Rev. Connie Ury will be the officiator. The burial will be in the Kyle Cemetery, south of Graham, MO.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.
