Florence S. Devers

Florence S. DeVers 87, of Maryville, MO, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012, at the Village Care Center in Maryville.

Florence was born on October 25, 1924 in St. Joseph, MO, to Ernest and Lois (Tomlinson) DeVers, they preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her brother, Jack DeVers, and her nephew, David DeVers.

Florence worked for many years at the former A&P Grocery Store in Maryville as a retail clerk. She had also been employed at the former McFarland’s Frozen Food Locker Plant also of Maryville.
She was of the Methodist Faith.

She loved to play tennis and softball, and she also loved to read.

Her survivors include: nephews, Bruce (Pam) DeVers, Steve DeVers, and Scott DeVers, all of Maryville, MO., and Paul (Beth) DeVers, Maitland, MO.; nieces, Shirley (Gary) Montross, Maryville, MO, and Susan (Kelly) Wilmes, Conception Junction, MO; several great nieces and nephews; and Marie Ruhnke, long time friend of the home in Maryville.

Florence’s body has been cremated under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, and per her request, no services will be held.
