Robert "Bob" Lee Huffman

Mr. Robert “Bob” Lee Huffman, 65 of Maryville, Missouri passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 at a St. Joseph, MO. hospital. Bob was born December 23, 1946, in Maryville, Missouri to Robert Lee and Arvetta (Shelton) Huffman. He graduated from the Maryville, High School. On April 23, 1966 he married Kristin “Kris” Richardson, and she survives of the home. He is a partner with the C & H Electric Company, he also had worked and retired from Kawasaki corporation after 12 years of service from the maintenance department. Bob is a member of the Elks Lodge, the Masonic Lodge A.F. & A. M, and the Eagles lodge all of Maryville, Missouri. He was a member of the Laura Street Baptist Church, Maryville, MO. He loved to play golf, sing and play the guitar, but most especially he loved to spend time with his family. He never knew a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed one. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Arvetta Huffman, and a brother Herbert Brummitt. He is survived by his wife Kris of the Home, Daughter Tracy Melvin and husband Tim of Maryville, 4 grandchildren, Ryan Still, Brant Melvin, Ashley Pegg and husband Cody, and Austin Melvin, 2 great grandchildren, Addison, and Colton. Other survivors include his brother Jim “Hammer” Huffman and wife Mary of Maryville, MO., 2 sisters; Ann Sowards and husband Loren of Maryville, and Virginia Reynolds and husband Phil of Pickering, MO. as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, at the Laura Street Baptist Church Maryville, Missouri . Mr. Huffman will be cremated following the funeral service and the inurnment will be at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday, at the Laura Street Baptist Church. The family request memorials in lieu of flowers to the Laura Street Baptist Church building fund.
