Anita C. Brunk

Anita Charlene Brunk 82, of Shenandoah, IA and formerly of the Skidmore, MO area passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at a hospital in Omaha, NE.

Anita was born on May 20, 1929 in Skidmore, MO to Charles L. and Sara E. (Johnson) Coston. She was a longtime resident of the area and moved to Shenandoah in 1991.
On May 20, 1946 she was united in marriage to Roy L. Brunk in Troy, KS. Roy passed away in 1996; she was also preceded in death by both her parents in 1991, and her sister, Lois Bowenkamp in 2008.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, Skidmore, MO and she was a homemaker.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, Gailian (Jerry) Kellison, Shenandoah, IA, Wayne (Alice) Brunk, Westboro, MO, Tracia Brunk-Long, Lincoln, NE, and Stephanie Brunk, Shenandoah, IA; her sister Donna Johnson, Shenandoah, IA; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore, MO.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 PM Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.

Donations may be directed to the family for a memorial to be determined at a later date, and may be left at the funeral home.
