Edith Ann Zaiss

Edith Ann (Edie) Boyd Zaiss 67, of Pickering, MO, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012 at a St. Joseph Missouri hospital.

Edie was born on August 3, 1944, in Bigelow, MO, to Robert and Mary Francis (Dukes) Boyd. She had lived several years in Maryville, MO before moving to Tennessee, she returned to Maryville in 2001.

She had worked at the former Zipp’s Restaurant in Maryville, and had also worked many years for Casey’s General Stores. She had been a member of the Holt County Historical Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bobby Lee Boyd; and her former husband, John P. Zaiss.

Survivors include her sister, Roberta L. Boyd of the home in Pickering, MO; her sister in law; 3 nieces, 2 great nieces and 4 great nephews and many friends and other relatives.

Edie’s body has been cremated and her memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Mound City, MO.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Friday, May 4, 2012 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the New Nodaway Humane Society, PO Box 185, Maryville, MO 64468.
