Roger Lee Carter

Roger Lee Carter 57, of Emporia, Kansas died on February 7, 2012 at Newman Regional Health in Emporia, Kansas. Graveside inurnment services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore, MO.

Roger was born on April 29, 1954 in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Lee and Lillian (Armagost) Carter, Skidmore, MO.

He was a 1972 graduate of the Nodaway Holt R-7 High School, Graham, MO.

Roger was a truck driver for many years at Interstate Bakeries and Precision Industries, both of Emporia. In his later years, he was the assistant manager at Finish Line gas station on 18th Avenue in Emporia.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lee.

Survivors include his mother, Lillian Carter of Maryville, MO; sons Dallas Carter, Maryville, MO, Christopher Frantz, Seattle, WA, and Roger (Alex) Carter of Emporia; daughter, Dakota Carter, Emporia; granddaughter, Tessa Carter, Austin, TX; and brother, Rick (Tammy) Carter, Maryville, MO.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.
