Frank Charles Veeman 65, of Maryville, MO passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the St. Francis Hospital in Maryville.

Frank was born in Chicago, IL on May 12, 1946 to Frank and Mary (Donegan) Veeman, they preceded him in death. Frank was a U.S. Army veteran, and retired in 1980 from the United States Army Reserves as a 1st Lieutenant.

He was a resident of Maryville the past 14 years and prior to that had lived in Trenton, MO for 3 years, and Iola, KS for 3 years. He had taught school at the Butler Kansas Community College for 10 years, and had taught Biology at Shawnee Mission, KS, and Holton, KS. He retired in 2012 as an administrator at Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, MO.

His memberships included the Maryville Host Lions Club, the Maryville Chamber of Commerce, and the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce.

On July 15, 1967, Frank was united in marriage to Diana L. (Fry) Veeman, she survives of the home in Maryville, MO. He is also survived by his daughter, Dawn M. (Johnathan) Jackson, Bonner Spring, KS; his son, Todd S. (Catherine) Veeman, Shawnee, KS; and his sister, Sue; 6 grandchildren, Johnathan Jr., Jordan, Julianne, and Jamison Jackson, Bonner Springs, KS, and Brandon, and Alex Veeman, Shawnee, KS.

Frank’s wish was to be an organ donor and then to be cremated. No services are scheduled at this time.
