Georgia Pauline Russell 82, of Maryville, MO passed from this life on January 19, 2012 at the Heartland Hospital in St. Joseph, MO.

Georgia was born on November 21, 1929 in Ravenwood, MO to Wesley Cleaven Spoonemore, and Jessie Jane (Messner) Spoonemore McFarland. She had been a resident of the Parnell, Ravenwood, Hopkins, and Maryville areas for most all of her life. She graduated from Parnell High School, class of 1947, Parnell, MO

On October 16, 1949 in Parnell, MO, Georgia was united in marriage to Galen (Bud) Russell; he passed away on April 13, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 5 siblings, VonCeile Parman, Marcella Giesken, Esthel Owens, Charles Spoonemore, and Frankie Caldwell.

Georgia was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Maryville; she liked to league bowl, and had been a former den mother with the Cub Scouts.
Georgia had worked at the former Mahoney Furniture Store, Sears Roebuck Store, and retired as the secretary of the Eugene Field Elementary School, all of Maryville.

Georgia leaves behind her children; daughter Stephanie (Maurice) Harden, St. Joseph, MO, son, Kirby Russell, Maryville; her grandchildren, Bradley Harden, Padova, Italy, Nicholas (Mary) Harden, Peoria, IL, Lindsay Harden, Chicago, IL; and her great granddaughter, Adalyn Grace Harden Peoria, IL. She is also survived by 2 sisters, LaVeta Jones, Osborn, MO, and Evelyn Berg, Maryville, MO; her brother and sister-in-laws, Derril Caldwell, Maryville, MO, Don Geisken, Maryville, MO, Zattie (Murrin) Lewis, Hopkins, MO, John (Ruth) Russell, Hamilton, MO, George Neumeyer, Maryville, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial will be at 2:00 PM Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time on Monday at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.

Memorials may be given in Georgia’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice.
