Myrtle Katherine Simpson

Myrtle Katherine Simpson 87, of Clearmont, MO, formerly of the Burlington Junction, MO area, passed from this life on January 11, 2012 at the Golden Living Center, Maryville, MO.

Myrtle was born in Lathrop, MO on January 16, 1924, to Edward and Ginny Pearl (McGee) Hackworth. She had been a resident of the Burlington Junction, MO area since the 1980’s, and was a former resident of Minnesota and South Dakota. She had been a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Rolla Dicks American Legion Post 315, Burlington Junction, MO.

Myrtle married Richard Dale Simpson and was a housewife and had helped with the farm chores, Dale preceded her in death in December of 1996; she was also preceded by her parents, and her son, Dean Paul Simpson, and her sister.

Left to mourn her passing is her daughter, Kathy I. Whitlock, Clearmont, MO, and her son, Charles Eugene Wilson. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Simpson’s body had been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, January 22, 2012, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. No formal visitation is planned. Inurnment will be later in the Ohio Cemetery, Burlington Junction, MO.
