Opal L. Noble

Opal Louise (Anderson) Noble 79, of Maryville, MO and formerly of Tarkio, MO died on September 16, 2011 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, MO.

Mrs. Noble was born on February 6, 1932 in Tarkio, MO to Mancil E. and Olive (Walker) Anderson. She attended school in Tarkio, and was a member of the First Baptist Church there.

She was employed with the Farmers & Valley Bank, Tarkio, and the Citizens State Bank of Maryville for 19 years, also the Tarkio Branch of the Atchison County Library for 13 years. She and her husband owned and operated Noble’s Standard Station, Noble’s Dari-Fresh, and the Big T Motel, all in Tarkio, MO.

Mrs. Noble married Donald P. Noble on March 12, 1955 at the Baptist Church in Rock Port, MO. He survives of the home.

Mrs. Noble was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Helen Marie Marrs.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter and son-in-law, Donnette and Terry McGinness, Maryville, and two granddaughters, Nicole McGinness, Maryville, and Ashley (Rick) Barthol, Lenexa, KS., a brother, Robert E. Anderson, Milford, NE., two sisters, Joyce E. Slaughterbeck, Jelm, WY., and Zella R. Johnston, Ft. Collins, CO., 3 great grandsons, Nathan, Conner, and Landon Barthol, Lenexa, KS., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the First Baptist Church, Tarkio, MO, with Rev. Dave Wynn, and Rev. Glenn Scott as the officiants. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery, Tarkio, MO. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church, Tarkio, MO.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO
