Martha Jane Morast

Martha Jane Morast 92, of Maryville MO, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Village Care Center in Maryville.

Martha was born in Kansas City, MO on December 22, 1918, her parents were Burt and Plesie Yeager Simmons. She had lived in Effingham KS, for many years and moved to the Maryville area in 1958. Martha was of the Methodist faith. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Effingham.

On September 9, 1937 she married Eathen Morast, Jr. in Kansas City, MO, he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, daughter, Plesie Hurst, St. Joseph, MO, sons, Larry Morast, Maryville, MO, Jack Morast, Bridgewater, MA, and Henry Morast, Grand Island, NE, she is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services and burial were held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd. Kansas City, MO.
