Robert H. (Doris) Farnan 82, Maryville, MO and formerly of Conception Junction, MO passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the St. Francis Hospital, Maryville.
Doris was born on December 10, 1928 in Clyde, MO to Joseph H. and Gertude Sullivan Farnan, he had lived most of his life in Conception Junction, MO and for the past year in Maryville.
He had been a Janitor for various businesses in the area. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Doris was a Korean War veteran, and served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the St. Columba Catholic Church, and the Tri-C American Legion Post #464, both of Conception Junction, MO.
On September 1, 1953, Doris was united in marriage to Alice Wilson Farnan in Conception, Jct, she preceded him in death, he was also preceded by his parents, a sister, Mary Ann Reeves, and two brothers, Wilford and Maurice Farnan.
Left to mourn his passing are his children, Sandra Farnan, Maryville, MO, David Farnan, Maryville, MO, Joyce (Mark) Frampton, Arkoe, MO, Sharon (Dave) Luke, Stanberry, MO, Annette Farnan, Maryville, MO, Joe (Robin) Farnan, Conception, MO, Paul (Brenda) Farnan, Bedford, IA, two brothers, Irvin Farnan, Savannah, MO, John (Helen) Farnan, Cameron, MO, sister, Alice (Robert) Barmann, Maryville, MO. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the St. Columba Catholic Church, Conception Junction, MO, burial will be in the St. Columba Cemetery, Conception, MO, Fr. Alan Stetz, OSB will be the celebrant.
The Parish and family rosary will be at 6:30 P.M. Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at St. Columba Catholic Church, with visitation to follow.
Military honors at the cemetery will be conducted by members of the Tri-C American Legion Post 464, Conception, Junction, MO.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, or the Tri-C American Legion Post 464, Conception Junction, MO, or to the Benedictine Convent, Clyde, MO.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.
