Barbara J. Glidden

Barbara J. Glidden 68, of Burlington Junction, MO. passed away June 7, 2011 at the St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, MO.

Barbara was born on May 3, 1943 in St. Joseph, MO to Lloyd J. and Irene L. Johnson Davis, they preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two dear family friends who helped raise her, Paul and Verleyen Mires. She lived all of her life in Nodaway County, MO, and was a member of the United Methodist Church, Burlington Junction, MO. Barbara retired from the Dempsey-Harden Oil Company, Maryville, MO

On June 3, 1961, Barbara was united in marriage to Max E. Glidden in Clearmont, MO, he survives of the home. Other survivors include her children, David S. Glidden, Lynda L. and husband Brett White, and Ryan P. Glidden, all of Maryville, MO. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ashley Duncan, of Florida, David S. Glidden II, and Daniel Glidden, both of Maryville, MO, and Deryk Hagey, and Baleigh Hagey, both of Burlington Junction, MO.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 A.M. Friday, June 10, 2011 at the United Methodist Church, Burlington Junction, MO. The body will arrive at the church one hour prior to the service, Pastor Sue Horvath will be the officiant. Burial will be in the Ohio Cemetery, Burlington Junction, MO.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.
