Roger Leroy Horn

Roger Leroy Horn 59, of Maitland MO, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011 at the Village Care Center in Maryville.

Roger was born on May 9, 1951 in Kirksville, MO., he lived all his life in the Maitland area. His parents were Jack Leroy and Mary Elizabeth Long Horn. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-mother, Barbara Horn.

Roger worked as an EMT for the Atchison-Holt Ambulance District, and was licensed in both Missouri and Nebraska. His illness forced his retirement. He was a member of the Maitland Fire Protection District and was a first responder.

On October 10, 1970, he was united in marriage to Emely Bernice Hayes in Arkoe, MO, she survives of the home.

He is survived by his children, Jilisa J. (Scott) McIntyre, Elmo, MO, Joshua W. (Melissa) Horn, Maitland, MO, and Jacob L. Horn, Maitland, MO. His four sisters, twin, Elizabeth Ilene Taylor, Skidmore, MO, Mary Arlene Marshall, Savannah, MO, Sylvia Carolene Stickelman, Maryville, MO, and Shirley Verolene Horn, Maryville, MO., and by four grandchildren, Dillon W. McIntyre, Ethan B. McIntyre, Shaylyn A. Horn, and Andrew W. Horn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Services, 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 28, 2011 at the Maitland Christian Church, Maitland, MO, burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore, MO. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville.
